Supporting People with Disabilities
Leonardo Hotels is a Disability Confident Employer. Disability Confident is a UK government scheme designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain people living with disabilities and health conditions. All of our hotels in the UK are signed up to Level 2, where we have actively taken steps to create more opportunities for people living with disabilities. We work with Jobcentre Plus in the UK and have partnerships with many social enterprises to lead the way in changing attitudes towards disability, and provide opportunities to ensure that people with disabilities and long-term health conditions are able to fulfil their potential at work. In Ireland, our Irish hotels’ work placement initiatives are arranged in partnership with the Irish charity Rehab.
To be recognised as a Disability Confident Employer, we provide inclusive and accessible recruitment, communicate vacancies, offer interviews to people with disabilities, provide reasonable adjustments and support existing employees. We also provide work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.
